Ritz Carlton Hotel – First Stage
The scope of work consisted of structural works for a 25-storey reinforced concrete tower and adjoining steel framed podia, a 5-star luxury hotel. The tower includes a full height atrium and 400 bedrooms and executive suites. The podia includes conference facilities, restaurants, indoor tennis courts, a swimming pool and sports facilities.
The project was constructed on a fast track basis, and had complex structural design for 3 m deep transfer beams structures at 14 m height. Extensive temporary works, as well as design development and extensive engineering review were required. The works also included design, fabrication and installation of 2,500 tons of structural steel including four 21-ton steel trusses erected on the roof of the atrium, 106 m above ground.
